17 May – Boise, ID

We are off on our 3rd roadtrip!

Yesterday we left Wyoming and made it to Boise, ID with stops in Idaho Falls and Twins Falls. We first stopped in Victor to sample the best Hunkelberrry shake and ice cream. Definitely worth while.

Throughout our drive we had a few sand storms due to high winds. Impressive to see across the vast potato fields.

The best surprise was the bed and breakfast hotel and restaurant we found in Boise. While Majo was driving through the winds I reserved us two themed rooms at the Anniversary Inn. Not realizing it is a romantic getaway for locals! Majo go the room call Swiss Family Robinson – how appropriate and I slept in a lighthouse 🙂 see video to understand 🙂

The dinner a gem find through Google. Barbacoa Grill is a mixed of Spanish and Steak. Check out Majo’s post for photos and explanation.

We were so exhausted we waited to write this post until the next morning. We both slept amazing in our respective treehouse and lighthouse. 🙂

Off to Bend Oregon!

May 8 Austin

As both of us have been to Austin before, we took it easy. We went to the State Capitol and encountered the protesters for more gun control after the Allen, TX shooting this weekend.

Majo got bitten by all the moskitos which normally bite me. Great friend! We found cortisone and walked to find some new sport shoes for Majo.

For the first time Majo got her feet measured and evaluated. She found the perfect shoes – Finnish made.

Due to the humidity we took a break and then headed out to discover Texan wine. We found Fall Creek Vineyard which is the oldest one in Texas per the server. Beautiful backyard and great wine to our surprise. We bought a bottle and went to Salt Lick BBQ for Texan meat. Amazing!!
