Kelowna to Cranbrook BC May 25

We had a beautiful start with breakfast along the Okanagan Lake. Caroline even tipped her toes in, but it was too cold for a swim.

We had a beautiful morning hike on the Mount Drought to see the lake from above.

We drove onwards to Oyosoos and through the Okanagan wine country. We saw wineries, peach and cherry farms to last us a life time.

We stopped at the Burrowing Owl winery to meet Caroline’s former work colleague for lunch. The winery supports the growth of the endangered Burrowing Owls. Food, company and wine were great.

We then drove 5 hours through the Kootenay mountains where we encountered sun, rain and snow!!

Snowfall on Kootenay Pass.
Sunshine and rainbows we’ve had it all!

We made it exhaustingly to Cranbrook and just crashed early.

Off early to cross back into the US at Roosville Montana.

Victoria (Vancouver Island) to Vancouver May 23.

Finding powerful women in every corner of the world!

Morning walk along Victoria harbor and a Visit to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.

Powerful British Empire!

It was interesting to learn about the history of Sikhs involvement in European wars under the British crown. Many immigrated into BC.

On our way to Swartz Bay to take the Ferry to Vancouver, we stopped at the famous “Butchart Gardens” a 130 acres estate. Mrs. Jennie Butchart turned it into a 55 acres beautiful designed garden blooming all year around.

Rhododendrons again!

Crossing over to Vancouver with beautiful weather!

One person is cold while the other is enjoying the sun 🙂
