8 hour driving and we found the best B&B. All to ourselves. It has a piano and a chapel. But the big question is which room to choose to sleep in?
I think we will decide once we had dinner and a drink or teo along Erie Lake.

We had a very early night in Carlisle, PA but only after we finally had a cheesesteak. Not true Philly one but at least we tried it while in PA. Carlisle is a very quaint little town. Sadly there is a lot of through traffic with trucks.
Other than learning about the Civil War yesterday (the size of the battlefield is just incredible), we did realize that the toll roads are not free due to COVID. In PA they changed them so it is all electronic and any travelers will receive a bill in a month. Dad, keep an eye out for it. 🙂 Oh well. Good thing is that there are no lines anymore.
So today is our first major drive. Leaving PA behind and going to Ohio. 7 hours! Need to understand their toll road system now. The big question is do we stop in Cleveland or Toledo?!
Our last visit in Philly was to the “Reading Terminal Market”, one of the oldest and largest Food Markets in America. After a sumptuous breakfast we headed west direction Gettysburg. Drove through Amish land, stopped in Denver to explore the famous antique markets, bought some old stuff. In Gettysburg we learned about the atrocious battle of Civil War in the summer of 1863. Tired and hungry we finally arrived in Carlisle where we are staying tonight.
