On the road again! We left the “Windy City” early and headed west. A lunch break at Jason’s Clubhouse at one of the oldest Golf clubs in the country. After an 8 hours drive through nowhere we arrived in West Bend, Iowa. Found our place to stay over night in a former nuns monastery.

We explored Chicago with its architectural jewels on foot in the morning and on boat in the afternoon. We ended the day with a great dinner at Eddie V’s Seafood. Remember the name when you visit Chicago next! It’s awesome!

After a quick visit at Erie Lake, a drive through Amish land with a stop in Shipshewana and the University of Notre Dame to see Mitch, Caro’s old friend, we arrived safe in Chicago.
