April 5

Da soll noch einer behaupten dass der Wilde Westen hinterwäldnerisch ist!!!

5 o’clock wake up today! We wanted to see Mount Rushmore at sunrise. We were the first and only ones at the site at 6.20 am and saw the four presidents in the best and most beautiful light! 16 miles further west we stopped at the crazy horse memorial, the world’s largest sculpture but still unfinished.

Our next stop was in Cheyenne, the Capital of our home state Wyoming. We bought two Longhorns of 8.5 feet each for the new house in Jackson and found out that they don’t fit in the Truck 🥴

Problem solved!

For the night we stay at the “Mad Carpenter” in Laramie the cutest B&B completely renovated by the owner Lawrence Thomas. A Beer at “The old Buckhorn Bar and Parlor” is something else and a must when you’re in Laramie!
